Workshop: House Dance as Natural Movement with Achraf Lansari

Using the language of house dance, to understand our natural movements and the profound connections we share with the floor and each other. Through various partnering games, dancers can explore the dynamic interplay between themselves and their dance partners. Call-and-response tools, improvisation, and trust-building exercises will be our main focus. Rhythmic exercises that will enable dancers to connect with their own unique rhythms, syncing them with the music and each other. Weight shifting exercises and floorwork interactions with imagination and visualization technics will allow dancers to develop a heightened sense of connection to the floor, resulting in increased stability, control, and creative possibilities.
The Workshop will be held in English and is open to anyone with an interest in dance and movement.
