Moonlit Brooks ist eine englischsprachige Spoken-Word-Formation, bestehend aus Denny Seidel am Klavier und Tanya Gautam als Poetin. Seit Februar 2020 kuratieren sie multidisziplinäre Kulturveranstaltungen in Heidelberg, die lokale und internationale Künstler zusammenbringen, um ihre Werke in verschiedenen Medien wie Poesie, Musik, Tanz, Fotografie und Malerei zu präsentieren. Für die beiden ist jede Veranstaltung etwas Besonderes, ein Austausch von Kraft, Liebe und Frieden.
Fat Tea
Imagine drinking a Fat Tea – an improvised warm drink, nutritious, sweet and bitter, sour and tangy. A weird, but beautiful combo of unmixable liquids and solids – mmmmmmm, yummy. Now translate it to music, add some drummachines and 3 tons of effects. Voilà – welcome to the sound of Fat Tea!
Session Victim (live)
Session Victim are one of Germany’s most prolific & accomplished house music production duos today. As composers, Hauke Freer and Matthias Reiling have been building an unmatched body of work over the last decade, most notably three genre defining triple LPs on the British dance music connoisseur label Delusions of Grandeur, a highly acclaimed downbeat concept album for the beloved Late Night Tales/ Night Time Stories record company as well as more than twenty EPs on vinyl only imprints like Retreat, XK or Pen & Paper and most recently Toytonics and Rhythm Section. Add their impressive remix catalogue for artists such as Kink, Midnight Magic, Folamour, or Khruangbin and you’ll be hard pressed to find a contemporary record collection with no Session Victim in it at all.
As for their infamous live show, there’s simply nothing quite like it out there, literally.Where other producers show off their most valuable synthesizers and complex modular patches, you’ll find Session Victim beating the heck out of their cheap usb controllers, a half dead 707 and a road worn bass guitar, while the people left and right from you might feel reminded of Nick Holder, Armand Van Helden,The Clash or Fugazi at the very same time. There’s a devotion and passion about the self proclaimed Two Man House Band and their quest for getting themselves and everyone else into “the zone” that is in fact as exciting as it is rarely seen today.
Boiler
A Germany-based trio formed around the jazz pianist and producer Dizzy Rodriguez with Pierre Thomé on bass and Bene Strohhäcker on drums. Drawing influence from contemporary Jazz legends like Kamaal Williams, Yussef Dayes and Triorität, they recently released their debut EP ‘BOILER’ presenting a steaming hot crunch — Rhodes sound layered over spacey synths, groovy basslines and boom bap drums.
Zainab Lax
Zainab Lax ist Musiktherapeutin und Multi-instrumentalistin und hat sich auf Musik als Empowerment für Menschen mit Fluchterfahrung spezialisiert. Sie spielt seit ihrem siebten Lebensjahr Harfe, ist aber auch in östlichen Musikstilen zu Hause. Ihre inspirierenden Loop- Performances sind vor Allem von Improvisation geprägt und laden zum Träumen aber auch zum grooven ein.
Soul Therapy Club
Eine junge fünfköpfige Band aus Heidelberg, die sich mit Groove und Leichtigkeit auf eine Reise begibt – stets auf der Suche nach dem Sinn des Lebens. Mit ihrer frischen Mischung aus Pop, Funk und Soul hält sie immer wieder für einen kleinen Zwischenstopp die Zeit an, um einfach mal die Seele baumeln zu lassen.
Fader Lustig
Fader Lustig is a DJ & producer based in Mannheim, Germany. In his DJ sets and productions he combines jazzy hip hop with funk and electronic elements, adding live trumpet and turntablism techniques to get things grooving.
He has opened concerts for the likes of Oddisee, Freddie Gibbs, Asher Roth, Apollo Brown and Flo Filz, club gigs with DJs like Teresa, Josi Miller, Mark Hype, and many more. As a live act or DJ-support for hip hop artists he has played festival shows of all sizes throughout Germany (e.g. Southside Festival, Splash Festival, Metropolink Heidelberg, Happiness Festival).
